Stories
The Ferryman: A story by writer and illustrator Odd Jacobson. A terrifying fog threatens to destroy farms and crops, and the farmers fear famine as the Kingdom of Coewylle orders them to burn their harvests. They hope the ferryman, a protector of the land who hasn't been seen in over sixty years, will help. In desperation, a young woman named Moth sets out to find him and save her home.
WEBTOON & Webcomics
Alone: This is a romantic drama written and illustrated by Olivia Stephens that delves into the developing relationship between a quiet widower and a former musician as they confront their pasts. Unfortunately, the comic remains incomplete, which is disappointing because I genuinely enjoyed the story. The last update to this comic was in 2018, and it hasn't been updated since. As a result, I'm unsure if this story ever received a conclusion. (Link redirects straight to chapter 1)
A Tale of Two Rulers: In this fantasy/comedy set in the Legend of Zelda universe by Figment Forms, Link has been reborn as Zelda's daughter. As Ganondorf prepares to invade Hyrule, Zelda unexpectedly offers him her hand in marriage, hoping to break the cycle of violence and share her kingdom to prevent war.
BARBAROUS: This is my absolute favorite webcomic at the moment! It's a slow-burning monster romance that follows a wizard college dropout and a monstrous superintendent. Will these two manage to overcome their personal struggles and past mistakes? The comic is written by Anath Hirsch and illustrated by Yuko Ota. (Link redirects you straight to Chapter 1)
Between the Branches: "Between the Branches," created by Sam Bragg, is a heartwarming fantasy about a young tree nymph who explores the world around her. She eventually rescues a fox from a snare, and they become inseparable companions. The comic primarily relies on illustrations, telling the story beautifully without dialogue. Although the story is complete, it's a delightful cozy read worth checking out.
Harpy Gee: Established in 2014 and created by Brianne Drouhard, "Harpy Gee" is a fantasy webcomic that follows the titular character, Harpy Gee, a green-haired elf girl. Accompanied by her goblin cat, Pumpkin, Harpy embarks on adventures in the town of Podunkello. Along the way, she meets her friends Opal and her pet pig, Truffles, as well as Ash and Prince Humphrey.
Huemans
Created by InDaviduall, what if your personality determined your skin color? Or if your inner thoughts and emotions showed up on your skin? Huemans is a webcomic that explores these possibilities. Links to InDaviduall's newly revamped story and his older strips.
Rockstar Rabbit: Created by Krumperoni, "Rockstar Rabbit" follows Melody, a rabbit with big dreams of making it on stage but struggles to find her voice. She eventually reunites with an old childhood friend who has unfortunately run into serious trouble. Determined to help her friend, Melody decides that winning the prize money from an upcoming talent show is the best way to do so, but first, she'll need to form a band.
Somewhere in Between: Created by Andre Damelle, this slice-of-life comedy follows a nerdy biracial tween named Boothe and his best friend Naveah as they navigate adolescence.
